Investigation Agent

Minimum Qualifications

  1. US citizenship required.
  2. All applicants must successfully complete an in-depth interview, prior to employment, to determine an applicant's suitability, which includes, but is not limited to, the person's appearance, personality, maturity, temperament, background, and ability to communicate.
  3. Minimum of five years experience as an investigator with a federal, state or local law enforcement or investigative agency.
  4. (1) Minimum: High school diploma or GED equivalent; (2) Preferred: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university; or (3) and equivalent combination of education and related experience.
  5. Must not have a history of criminal or improper personal conduct that may affect suitability as an investigator. (Complete background investigation.)
  6. Excellent physical health with no disabling physical or mental condition. (Examination of physical fitness, emotional, and mental conditions.)
  7. Reading and Writing Ability. Be able to read and write at the levels necessary to perform the job. (Written Exam).
  8. Ability to exercise tact, initiative, ingenuity, resourcefulness, and judgment in collecting facts, evidence, and other pertinent data.
  9. Strong interviewing skills. Ability to analyze and evaluate facts; make sound, objective assessments; and, where appropriate, make constructive recommendations.
  10. Ability to deliver clear, concise, accurate, and factual summaries of the results of an investigation, both orally and in writing.
  11. Ability to work with others as a team and to accept supervision and direction from superiors.
  12. Valid Class C driver's license.
