Protection Agent

Field Protective Details: In addition to the primary responsibility, each Protective Agent has to the Command Center work, a wide variety of other assignments and/or opportunities will be made to the Agent, provided the Agent has proven themselves capable during their career with the company. These can include providing personal protection for clients during movie premieres, award shows, commercial shoots, films on location, national / international press tours, musical tours, corporate executive protection, among others.

State Personal Protection Specialist/Guard registration and firearms permit prior to appointment

Other requirements are as follows:

  • An ability to work individually with minimal direct supervision;
  • An ability to work 12-hour shifts;
  • An ability to work nights and weekends;
  • Lifting and carrying heavy objects (i.e.… equipment cases, luggage, etc.)
  • Prolonged standing.
  • Working outdoors in extreme climates.
  • Ability to maintain alertness for extended periods.
  • Irregular eating schedules.
  • Knowledge of apprehension and arrest procedures.
  • Possibility of running/jogging several miles with a client (must be physically fit.)
  • Defense tactics/Martial Arts training a plus.
  • Possibility of physical confrontations.

Minimum Qualifications

  1. U.S. citizenship required.
  2. Must be at least 21 years of age at time of application.
  3. (1) Minimum: High school diploma or GED equivalent; (2) Preferred: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university; or (3) and equivalent combination of education and related experience.
  4. Vision: Must be correctable to at least 20/30 (either eyeglasses or contact lenses).
  5. Excellent physical health with no disabling physical or mental condition. (Examination of physical fitness, emotional, and mental conditions.)
  6. Interview: In-depth interview, prior to employment, to determine an applicant's suitability for public figure protection, which includes, but is not limited to, the person's appearance, personality, maturity, temperament, background, and ability to communicate.
  7. Must not have a history of criminal or improper personal conduct that may affect suitability for public figure protection. (Complete background investigation.)
  8. Reading and Writing Ability. Be able to read and write at the levels necessary to perform the job. (Written Exam).
  9. Valid Class C driver's license.
  10. Valid U.S. Passport and International Certificates of Vaccination. (Required only for international travel protective details).
  11. Valid certification in Adult, Infant, and Child CPR / First Aid
  12. Personal Protection Specialist / guard registration and firearms permit prior to appointment.
